Don and Dan live in the same neighborhood, drive the same cars, and form every external factor they could look in the mirror and see their reflections.But internally, they are as different as cold is from hot.
Both have ambitions to get ahead and are willing to put in the time and hard work to make it happen. The difference is that Don doesn’t understand the principle of going the extra mile, but Dan does.
Dan understands the principle that he goes to work and applies this habit of going the extra mile on day one. Seeing what he can do to improve his understanding of the job and produce better results.
On the other hand, Don finishes his work and spends the rest of his time on the internet, looking at family photos on Facebook.
Dan continues to use this principle of Going The Extra Mile to get noticed by upper management for his work and the extra hours and production he produces for the company.
After working for GET YOUR MIND RIGHT Inc. for a year, Dan has been promoted to upper management. In contrast, Don’s review shows he finished his work but has room for improvement.
The only difference is that Dan understood and applied the principle of going the extra mile, and Don did not.
The Secret to Getting Ahead In Life
This principle can be your secret weapon in life if you study and come to understand the value it holds in getting ahead in all that you do. Doing more than what is expected of you is not that popular in the mainstream world, but it’s one of the reasons 95% of the population die broke.
I can hear you saying to yourself, “Hell No !” Hear me out for a minute before you ultimately put the idea out of your mind and miss the key you need to achieve any goal you want.I know we are taught to do our work and no more if we are working for the man.
Still, all opportunities in life usually come from unexpected places where you are starting may be your opportunity to grow. No matter where you start, you are there for a reason, maybe so you can improve and get better.

The only way to outgrow our current position is to increase ourselves.It sounds simple enough. You would think everybody would be following this habit of going the extra mile to get ahead in life.
Sadly, only 5% understand and apply this habit of going the extra mile.If you asked the average person on the street if they want to make more money, you would get an overwhelming100% answering yes. But.
When you start to break down the principles of what it takes for us to reach a higher income level, about 95% of the ones answered your question with a yes.
The same 95% will turn around and tell you in the same breath it’s way too much work to do or ask you if there is an easier way. They would say,” I’m not interested if you told them it’s not.”
This habit of going the extra mile separates the boys from the men and the girls from the women. So, how can you apply this principle of going the extra mile in your life right now?
- 1. Always do more than you are paid to do.
- 2. Make sure your work is the best quality you can produce.
- 3. Always produce the highest quantity of work, but never sacrifice quality.
- 4. Always work with a Positive Mental Attitude.
- 5. Always remember that the compensation laws will always compensate for your work.
